ISTT Representative Participates in FemTalent Forum 2018 in Barcelona

Isfahan Science and Technology Town’s Director for International Affairs, Ms. Mozhgan Yazdianpour attended FemTalent 2018, an international forum for inspiring global female talent especially in the field of international projects in research, technology and innovation.

This year the forum focused on women in leading positions at the different Science and Technology Parks distributed worldwide. As such ISTT’s representative, Ms. Yazdianpour participated in the forums round table session with Gabriela Cardozo, Technical director at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul from Brazil, Justyna Adamska, PR and Marketing Manager at Poznan Science and Technology Park from Poland, Hauwa Yabani, Programmes Portfolio Manager at Abuja Technology Village Free Zone from Nigeria.

The Digital Transformation is impacting all sectors of the labor market internationally. Women are active participants in this revolution from different origins, cultures, social classes, religions, and age. With this in mind, the femtalent forum wanted to showcase internationally diverse models as a reference and example to encourage the participation of women in future professions, where technology will be a key aspect.

The forum also benefited from the presence of Barcelona’s Mayor, Ms. Ada Colau as a keynote speaker and thus Ms. Yazdianoiur approached the mayor on ISTT’s behalf and introduced Iran’s science and technology ecosystem, its many science parks and ISTT itself along with the organization of 35^th IASP world conference in Isfahan from the 2^nd to the 5^th of September this year.

This event was hosted and organized by Barcelona Activa (Barcelona City Council), XPCAT (The Network of Science & Technology parks of Catalonia), and IASP Women Network.

The main subject of femtalent forum emphasizes on top women in international arena and/or those who are leading international projects in research, industry and innovation.
